Alana Ja’na Buckley is a recording artist who developed a passion for singing at the tender age of four.  She has a heart for the things of God and understands that “A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men (Proverbs 18:16).  Her gift has allowed many doors to open for her, which includes singing at numerous churches and events in Louisiana, Mississippi, and surrounding areas.

Alana attends Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Because of her melodious voice, she participates in every aspect of the school’s music program. She is also actively involved in the youth ministry at North Boulevard Macedonia Full Gospel Church under the leadership of Pastor Clifton L. Sanford. Alana is a true worshipper and serves as a Praise and Worship leader in her ministry.

Although Alana is rooted in gospel music, she showcases her gift through many musical genres.  Her gift takes her before various audiences and allows her powerful voice to captivate hearts.  Particularly, she is often invited to sing our treasured National Anthem. She has blessed audiences at the legislative sessions at the Louisiana State Capitol, National Flag Day at the USS Kid, USATF Southern Association Championship outdoor track and field meets, USATF Southern Association Junior Olympic Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the LHSAA high school state track meet at LSU, various LSU sporting events, the NFL New Orleans Saints and the New Orleans Pelicans NBA basketball games.

God opened the door for Alana to have the renowned Arthur Gremillion, the founder of The AJG Experience School of Music, as her vocal coach.  It was the beginning of a relationship destined for greatness. The connection has awarded her to be on the platform with phenomenal voices.  Most recently, Alana was one of the background vocalists for Malik Atkins, for his newly released recording “The Live Experience.”

Alana appreciates the love and support from her parents, family, and friends.  Because of her humility, Alana always pays homage to the those who have nurtured her gift.  Jermaine James, Minister of Music at North Boulevard Macedonia Church, Tamara Wesley, her former  youth choir director, Elder Terrence Ruffin, music workshop director, Sis. Nina Gray, her elementary and middle school music teacher, and Sis Pamela Warren, her kindergarten teacher who recognized her gift even before it was fully developed.

Alana’s mantra is “Be Yourself.” This is displayed in her sincere and authentic worship.  Alana’s desire is that God will continue to order her steps, so she can glorify his name and lead his people into the inner courts.
